The students made predictions and then played a game in order to find as many butterflies as they could in 10 seconds. The goal was to find all 10 butterflies but many students could only find the 5 solid colored butterflies as the patterned butterflies were camouflaged in their environment!

3rd Graders are Butterfly Catchers
Mrs. Bryant's and Mrs. Comstock's classes are investigating Animal Adaptations. They played a game in order to explore the adaptation, camouflage, by pretending they were Butterfly Catchers.
The students made predictions and then played a game in order to find as many butterflies as they could in 10 seconds. The goal was to find all 10 butterflies but many students could only find the 5 solid colored butterflies as the patterned butterflies were camouflaged in their environment!
